Itinerary

Day 1: M’Hamid – Krayat Jmal

Begin your adventure from M’Hamid, located in the beautiful Drâa Valley. Accompanied by the camel caravan, start your journey towards Krayat Jmal.

Enjoy approximately 6 hours of walking through the desert, with a lunch break along the way to rest and regain your energy.

At the end of the day, arrive at the dunes and set up camp in the heart of the desert. Enjoy dinner before spending your first peaceful night under the stars, surrounded by the silence and beauty of the Sahara.

Day 2: Krayat Jmal – Erg Bogarn

After breakfast, continue your desert trek towards Erg Bogarn. Today's journey includes approximately 6 hours of walking through the changing landscapes of the Sahara.

Enjoy a lunch break in the shade of the tamarisk trees before continuing towards the dunes of Erg Bogarn.

Upon arrival, the camp will be set up for the night. Enjoy a hearty dinner prepared by the nomadic cooking team before spending another peaceful night beneath the open desert sky.

Day 3: Erg Bogarn – Bouchentouf

Start the day with breakfast before continuing your trek towards Bouchentouf.

Walk for approximately 5 hours through the desert and discover how the landscapes change from one erg to another. Observe the different shapes of the dunes, the changing vegetation, and the unique beauty of each desert landscape.

Arrive at the next camping area and enjoy another peaceful evening surrounded by the vast Sahara.

Day 4: Bouchentouf – Erg Chegaga

After breakfast, continue towards the spectacular dunes of Erg Chegaga.

Walk for approximately 4 hours before reaching the fixed bivouac. Erg Chegaga is famous for its impressive dunes, including some that rise to nearly 300 meters.

Upon arrival, enjoy the comfort of the bivouac and take time to relax. Watch a spectacular sunset over the vast desert landscapes, followed by a festive dinner around the campfire.

Spend the night surrounded by the magnificent dunes of Erg Chegaga.

Day 5: Erg Chegaga – Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi – Foum Zguid

Wake up early to admire the sunrise over the Erg Chegaga dunes and enjoy breakfast.

Then, continue your journey by 4x4 towards the village of Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi, located north of the dry Lake Iriki.

Discover the oasis, ancient ksar, and local marabout, and learn more about the history and heritage of this desert region.

Continue towards Foum Zguid, crossing the vast plains of the dry Lake Iriki. Along the way, stop at a prehistoric fossil site before arriving in Foum Zguid with unforgettable memories of your Sahara adventure.
