Itinerary
Day 1: Foum Zguid – Erg El Mhazil
Depart from Foum Zguid by 4x4, following the desert tracks towards Erg El Mhazil.
Upon arrival, settle into the camp in the heart of the dunes and enjoy your first night surrounded by the peaceful nature of the Sahara.
Day 2: Erg El Mhazil – Erg Elhaje Hmad
Day 3: Erg Elhaje Hmad – Erg El Ghoule
Day 4: Erg El Ghoule – Nomadic School
After breakfast, continue your trek for approximately 3 hours towards the nomadic school.
Discover how education works for children living in the desert and, when possible, meet the children and learn more about their daily lives.
Spend the night camping near the nomadic community after sharing authentic moments of exchange and cultural discovery.
Day 5: Nomadic School – Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi
Depart early in the morning towards the village of Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi.
Walk approximately 12 km, taking around 3 hours, before arriving at the guesthouse for lunch.
In the afternoon, explore the oasis, the ancient ksar, and the tomb of the marabout Sidi Abdenabi with your guide.
Enjoy some well-deserved relaxation over tea before gathering around the fire for dinner. Spend the night in a comfortable guesthouse.
Day 6: Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi – Foum Zguid
After breakfast, depart by 4x4 towards Foum Zguid.
Cross the magnificent and varied landscapes of Lake Iriki, surrounded by the beautiful colors of the ochre plateaus, before arriving in Foum Zguid and concluding your desert trekking adventure.
Note for travelers: Walking times are approximate and may vary depending on individual fitness levels. The trekking pace will be adapted to the group so everyone can enjoy the experience comfortably.
