Experience a 2-day desert journey from Ouarzazate to Erg Chegaga, traveling by comfortable 4x4 through some of southern Morocco’s most remarkable landscapes. Discover the Drâa Valley, pass through Zagora, and stop in Tamegroute before continuing towards M’Hamid, the gateway to the desert.

After reaching the Erg Chegaga bivouac, enjoy a camel ride to the dunes and admire the spectacular sunset. In the evening, enjoy a Moroccan dinner around the campfire before spending the night in comfortable nomadic tents under the stars.

The next morning, wake up to the sunrise over the dunes and enjoy a traditional breakfast before returning to Ouarzazate through the Zguid Valley and its green palm grove, with a lunch stop in Tazenakht.

Itinerary

Day 1: Ouarzazate – Erg Chegaga

Depart from Ouarzazate in a comfortable 4x4 towards the majestic Erg Chegaga dunes. Along the way, travel through the beautiful Drâa Valley, pass through Zagora, and stop at Tamegroute.

Continue towards M’Hamid, the gateway to the desert, where you will have a lunch break before continuing towards the sacred oasis.

Upon arrival at the Erg Chegaga bivouac, enjoy a camel ride to the dunes and admire a spectacular desert sunset. In the evening, enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner around the campfire, followed by a peaceful night in comfortable nomadic tents under the stars.

Day 2: Erg Chegaga – Ouarzazate

Wake up to the sunrise over the dunes and enjoy a traditional breakfast at the bivouac.

Then, begin the return journey by 4x4, crossing the Zguid Valley and its green palm grove. Enjoy a lunch break in Tazenakht before continuing towards Ouarzazate, arriving by the end of the morning.
