Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Tazenakht – Foum Zguid

Depart from Marrakech and cross the spectacular Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka Pass.

Continue towards Tazenakht, a town renowned for its handmade Berber carpets. Enjoy lunch along the way before continuing towards Foum Zguid, known as one of the gateways to the Sahara.

Check in at a peaceful riad and take some free time to explore the palm grove and surroundings.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and spend the night in Foum Zguid.

Day 2: Foum Zguid – Iriki National Park – Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi

Begin the day with a visit to the old kasbah of Foum Zguid before continuing by 4x4 into the landscapes of Iriki National Park.

Travel through the remote desert plains and stop at a peaceful hidden oasis.

Along the route, discover a site containing ancient fossils, offering a glimpse into the geological history of the region.

Continue towards Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi, a peaceful village surrounded by desert plains.

Enjoy a local dinner and spend the night in a welcoming guesthouse.

Day 3: Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi – Erg Chegaga

Spend the morning discovering Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi, its village, oasis agriculture and local traditions.

After a traditional Berber lunch, continue by 4x4 towards the magnificent Erg Chegaga dunes.

Upon arrival, settle into your Sahara bivouac and enjoy a memorable camel ride at sunset across the dunes.

As night falls, gather around the fire for traditional music and a Moroccan dinner.

Spend the night under the stars in your desert camp.

Day 4: Erg Chegaga – M’Hamid – Tamegroute – Zagora

Wake up in the desert and enjoy breakfast surrounded by the dunes.

Continue by 4x4 towards M’Hamid, the gateway to the Sahara, before following the landscapes of the Drâa Valley.

Stop in Tamegroute, famous for its traditional Moroccan pottery. Discover the local craftsmanship and the distinctive pottery tradition of the region.

Continue towards Zagora, where you will spend the night in a comfortable hotel surrounded by a beautiful palm grove.

Day 5: Zagora – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Leave Zagora and begin the return journey towards Marrakech.

Make an important stop at Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco's most famous historic ksours and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Take a walk through its traditional streets and discover its remarkable architecture before continuing towards Marrakech.

Cross the Tizi N’Tichka Pass once again and arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, marking the end of your Sahara adventure.
